YOU BREAK IT, WE REPLACE IT

That is the warranty. One line, and we mean it literally.

If a CORE 4X4 part fails — bent, cracked, snapped, broken on the trail or in your driveway — we replace it. We don't ask whether you were driving it the way we would have driven it. We built it to get wheeled, and parts that get wheeled sometimes break.

What's covered

Every part manufactured by CORE 4X4 — control arms, track bars, end links, steering components and brackets — for as long as those parts are on a rig, yours or the next owner's. Serviceable joints and bushings carry an 18-month window against failure; that is the one exception and it is spelled out below.

  • Breakage. Yours, the trail's, doesn't matter.
  • Manufacturing and material defects.
  • Welds, threads, and machined surfaces.
  • Powder coat defects — flaking, blistering, or coating that fails on its own.

Serviceable joints: rebuild instead of retire

Our joints are built to come apart. When a joint gets loose or noisy from normal miles, it doesn't need replacing — it needs a rebuild. A rebuild is a bag of parts and an afternoon, not a new control arm, and rebuild kits start around $21.

Here is the honest line between the two:

  • A worn joint is maintenance. Miles put play in a joint the same way they wear a tire. Rebuild kits are on the site, cheap, and you can order one any time. That is not a warranty claim — but compare it to the alternative, which at most shops is buying a whole new arm.
  • A failed joint is breakage, and breakage is covered. If a joint comes apart, cracks, or lets go under you, that is not wear. That is us replacing it, free.

Serviceable joints and bushings are covered against failure for 18 months from delivery. After that they are maintenance items — rebuild kits are how you service them, and they start around $21. Everything else we build — arm bodies, welds, brackets, threads — carries the full promise with no time limit.

If you are not sure which one you have, send photos and we will work it out with you.

What's not covered

Short list, and we will be straight about why each one is here:

  • Parts we didn't make. We resell other manufacturers' products; those carry their own warranty and we will help you get to the right people.
  • Joint and bushing wear, and joint failures past 18 months. Play from miles is maintenance — that is what rebuild kits are for, and they are cheap. Inside the first 18 months, a joint that fails is breakage and it is covered.
  • Cosmetic wear from use. Trail rash, rock strikes, and scratches on a part that is still doing its job. A coating that fails on its own is covered; a coating that lost a fight with a boulder is a badge.
  • Damage from incorrect installation or maintenance. Wrong torque, missing hardware, geometry that was never set — and stripped threads from driving on loose jam nuts, which is the one we see most.
  • Consequential costs. Labor, alignment, towing, downtime. We replace the part; we can't cover what it took to get it on and off. See Disclaimers.

That is the whole list. If it is not on it, it is covered.

Who it covers — and it goes with the rig

You, for as long as you own the parts. Keep your order number or the email address you ordered with; that is all we need to look you up.

Selling the rig? The warranty can go with it. Most warranties die the day the truck changes hands. Ours doesn't have to — the parts are still our parts, and they are still going to hold.

The new owner registers the transfer with us: email support@core4x4.com with the original order number and their name, email, and phone, or call 385-375-2104. Once it is registered, the warranty is theirs on the same terms — you break it, we replace it.

One condition, and it is the only one: the transfer has to be registered. An unregistered warranty doesn't carry to a new owner, because we have no way to know who is holding it. Registration is free, takes a minute, and there is no limit on how many times parts change hands.

Installation

Parts have to go on correctly. Torque to spec, use the supplied hardware, and get an alignment after install. Professional installation is recommended — and if you install it yourself and something doesn't seem right, call us before you drive it.

Then keep an eye on your jam nuts. Driving on a loose jam nut is what strips threads, and it happens slowly enough that you won't notice until the damage is done. Check them for proper torque every time you grease the joints — and grease them at least twice a year.

If a part fails because of how it was installed, that is not a warranty claim. But we are not looking for a reason to say no: if it is genuinely unclear, we will lean toward replacing it.

How to make a claim

Every claim gets reviewed by a person before anything gets built. Here is the whole process:

  1. Send us photos and tell us what happened. Call 385-375-2104 or email support@core4x4.com with your name and order number (or the email you ordered with), photos or video of the part, and a sentence on what happened.
  2. Talk it through with support. Someone on our team looks at the photos and works through it with you — what failed, how it was installed, what else is on the rig. Often that conversation tells us something useful about the part, not just about your claim. Most claims are settled right here, on photos and a phone call.
  3. We approve it — then we build. Once your claim is approved, your replacement build starts and goes to the front of the production queue. You don't buy a replacement and wait on a refund. You are already down a rig; we are not going to make you float the money too.

On higher-value claims, or when the photos can't settle it, we'll ask for the failed part back before the build starts — prepaid label, and your replacement goes on the bench the day it lands. Either way the shipping is on us.

What approval covers

Once a claim is approved, shipping is on us, both directions. Prepaid label for the part coming back, and your replacement ships out free anywhere in the lower 48. You don't pay freight to receive a part that failed.

The one exception is Alaska, Hawaii, and international addresses: we cover the part and the build, you cover the freight — the same way shipping works on any order to those addresses. See Shipping & Delivery.

If a claim isn't approved, we will tell you why, in plain terms, and what your options are — a rebuild kit, a discounted replacement, or a look at whether something else on the rig caused it. “No” doesn't mean we stop helping.

Shipping damage is not a warranty claim

If your order arrived damaged or something is missing, that is a shipping issue and it moves faster: call us within 7 days of delivery and we file the carrier claim — not you. See Shipping & Delivery.
